WITNESS THIS YEAR'S PARTICIPANTS IN THE POLAR PLUNGE. DESPITE THE 15 DEGREE TEMPERATURE AND FRESH SNOW ON THE GROUND, THERE WERE ABOUT 20 WHO WADED IN AND MANY WHO IMMERSED THEMSELVES ENTIRELY. FOR A TOWN OF 42, THAT IS PRETTY AMAZING. I'D GUESS THE WOMEN TO MEN RATIO WAS ABOUT 4 MEN TO EVERY 1 BIKINI-CLAD WOMAN. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, THE BIGGER RISK IS JUST WEARING A BIKINI WITH THAT MANY ONLOOKERS AND A TELEVISION CREW THERE TO SEE AND RECORD!
